Ingredients
Buffalo Tofu
1 block extra-firm tofu
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
3 tbsp cooking oil (avocado or vegetable)
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup of your favorite buffalo sauce (more or less depending on your heat level preference)
Ranch Sauce
1 block silken tofu
3 tbsp of lemon juice (fresh is better)
1 tbsp dehydrated dill
1 tbsp dehydrated parsley
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
Preparation
Buffalo Tofu
- Slice the tofu bloc in two, press the tofu in a clean cloth to remove excess water. Break the tofu into large bite size pieces with your hands (chicken wings size). Add the tofu to a big bowl. Add in the corn starch and the spices. Mix well.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add in the tofu and cook for about 15 minutes until the tofu is golden and crunchy.
- Transfer the tofu pieces into a mixing bowl, add the buffalo sauce. Stir until all the pieces are fully covered in sauce.
- Serve with our tofu ranch sauce, over salads or in a wrap.
Ranch Sauce
- Add all the ingredients in a mixer (or use a hand held mixer) and blend until the sauce is smooth.
- For better results, let the sauce rest 2-3 hours in an airtight container in the fridge. Taste test and adjust seasoning to your liking.
- Serve with crudities, in wrap sandwiches, burgers, with our Buffalo Tofu or in a salad.
